M Core hosts inaugural Shopping Centre Conference

M Core (UK) marked a significant milestone with its first Shopping Centre Conference, hosted by Tony Wilkes, Centre Manager of M Cwmbran. This event brought together centre managers, senior leaders, and industry partners for a day of strategic dialogue, forward-thinking insights, and well-earned recognition of excellence.

The conference opened with an inspiring keynote from Ben Chislett LCP’s Chief Operating Officer, speaking on the philosophy of the business and our plan for growth.

We then heard from a panel of senior asset managers who shared their expertise on navigating the evolving retail landscape. This engaging discussion provided centre managers with practical insights and a deeper understanding of how M Core’s strategy aligns with the needs of local markets. The open discussion was a great way both sides could learn from each other and build relationships.

Yazdi Nash, LCP SHEQ Director, presented M Core’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, emphasising the company’s dedication to sustainability and positive social impact.

We extend a special thanks to Savills for their in-depth analysis of the retail market. Their insights into emerging trends and shifting consumer behaviours offered our team valuable tools to enhance their strategic planning.

Ben Chislett, Chief Operating Officer said; “This was a great event that brought together the team that help strengthen the 446 retail assets within our UK portfolio. Our strategy is built around resilience, adaptability, and community. By working together, we can redefine the retail experience and ensure sustainable success for all our centres."

The conference concluded with an uplifting awards ceremony, honouring outstanding contributions across the organisation. Tony Wilkes, Centre Manager of M Cwmbran said “The conference has been a fantastic opportunity to come together as a team, share ideas, and celebrate our collective achievements. We plan to build on the knowledge learnt and put the suggested changes in place for next year.”
