Today, Proudreed, part of M Core, celebrates the laying of the foundation stone for France Télévisions Studios' new facility at the heart of its Veellage site in Vendargues (34), located in the Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole region. This BREEAM and BDO-certified project will house four cutting-edge film studios and post-production facilities, on a 2-hectare site.
The Veellage of Vendargues will eventually offer 70,000 m² of built space on an 11-hectare site. Its goal is to become one of France's leading audiovisual production hubs, welcoming companies primarily from the cultural and creative industries, eager to establish themselves in what will soon become the “Veellage de l'image”.
This former industrial site, previously home to Bonna Sabla, has been transformed into an innovative “Veellage” by Proudreed, specialists in the development of business parks in France.
“We are honored to have been selected by Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and the France Télévisions Group to lead this ambitious project, in recognition of our expertise and the confidence of our partners,” says Christophe Le Corre, President of Proudreed.“Over the years, we have built up a strong, privileged relationship with Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, one that aligns with our shared vision for dynamic and sustainable regional development. But beyond this relationship, this project is above all a reflection of our expertise in delivering bespoke industrial buildings, tailored to meet the most demanding technical specifications of the sector."
The ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of officials, including Delphine Ernotte Cunci, Chairman and CEO of France Télévisions, Christophe Le Corre, Chairman of Proudreed, François-Xavier Lauch, Prefect of Hérault, Carole Delga, former Minister and President of the Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region, Michaël Delafosse, Mayor of Montpellier and President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, Guy Lauret, Mayor of Vendargues and Delegate Councillor of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and Fabrice Casadebaig, Cultural Advisor, Secrétariat Général Pour l'Investissement.
